Charles Ellis Cain, 77, of Sioux City died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2001 at Indian Hills Care Center following a brief illness.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with the Rev. A.T. Washington officiating. Burial will he in Logan Park Cemetery. Visitation will he noon until service time Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. Cain was horn June 1, 1924 in Omaha, the son of Ernie and Magna (Peterson) Cain. He was raised in Omaha and attended schools in Omaha. He graduated from Omaha Central High School. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was then employed as a police officer in Denver, Colo.

He married Betty Lou Loeschen on May 10, 1948, in Vermillion, S.D. He was employed in car sales for over 25 years in Sioux Cify. He managed Bob Tagatz Pontiac-Nissan and Senftner Volkswagon. His wife died Aug. 18, 1977. in Sioux City.

He enjoyed fishing.

Survivors include two sons. Daniel H. Cain and Jeffrey C. Cain both of Bedford, Mass.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Harold; and two sisters, Lorraine and Lanora.

Pallbearers will be Daniel, Jeffrey, Ernie, Craig and Bobby Cain and Lyle Steely.
