SIOUX CITY | Diane A. Johnson, 76, of Sioux City passed away on Friday, June 21, 2013, at her residence.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Salvation Army. Visitation will begin 6 p.m. Monday, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the Salvation Army. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Diane was born Feb. 13, 1937, in Primghar, Iowa. She was the daughter of Hershel and Louise (Myerls) Taylor. Diane grew up in Primghar and Spencer, Iowa. She did day care in her early years.

Diane married Dennis Johnson on May 11, 1984, in Cherokee, Iowa.

She was a soldier at the Salvation Army and was in the Women’s Ministry Group at the Salvation Army. She was a huge Chicago Cubs Fan and enjoyed doing Circle the Words.

Survivors included her husband, Dennis of Sioux City; her children, Alieda Sullivan of Omaha, Roy Shane Sullivan of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Dennis E. Johnson Jr. and his wife, Jill of Bellevue, Neb.; a brother, Curtis Muckler of Clinton, S.C.; two grandchildren, Lacie and Zayne Sullivan; and a great-granddaughter, ZaRiyah Sullivan.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Janice.
