19 June 2013SIOUX CITY | Eva E. Harvey, 89, of Hamden, Conn., formerly of Sioux City, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2013, at Whitney Manor in Hamden.
Private services will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of New Haven Funeral Services in New Haven, Conn.
Eva was born on Jan. 25, 1924, in Whiting, Iowa, the daughter of Charlie and Mary Ellen (Watkins) Harvey. She served in the U.S. Navy from Feb. 15, 1949 to Feb. 14, 1958, as a parachute rigger in Lakehurst, N.J. She had lived in Sioux City and San Leandro, Calif.
Survivors include her nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Alma Cain, Della Bean, Lela Hansen, Lois Goodsell and Myrna Van DeSteeg; and a brother, Glen Harvey.
