SIOUX CITY -- Lois Jane Myers, 89, of Sioux City died Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, at Sunrise Retirement Community.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, with Monsignor Roger Augustine officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Friday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Lois was born Jan. 24, 1920, in Sioux City, to Frank and Margaret (Pauley) Engel. She grew up attending St. Boniface Catholic School and graduated from Central High School.

She was married to Richard W. Myers on June 27, 1938, in Sioux City. He preceded her in death in January 1984.

She enjoyed traveling, playing cards and visiting with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, where she was involved with the Little Circle and a past member of the DOES.

She is survived by three children, Judi (Milton) Dodds of Omaha, Roger W. (Diana) Myers of Mission Viejo, Calif., and Lynda Stewart of Tulsa, Okla.; four grandchildren, Mark and Elizabeth Dodds, Jeff Myers and Jeff Chase; and two great-grandchildren, Ryan and Jordan Myers.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a sister; and a grandson, Brian Chase.
