SIOUX CITY -- Nancy E. Beamon, 61, of Sioux City passed away Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, at a Sioux City hospital following a brief illness.

Visitations will be 4 to 8 p.m. today at Waterbury Funeral Service in Sergeant Bluff.

Nancy was born Sept. 1, 1948, in Sioux City, the daughter of Clifford and Donna Allen. She was raised in Sioux City and lived in the Siouxland area her entire life.

She was united in marriage to Andrew Beamon in 1965, and later divorced. She was later introduced to her soulmate Charles Reed. She was employed with Metz Baking for 19 years, before moving on to Aalfs Manufacturing.

Her interests included anything Elvis, Pogo games, spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren, and recently crocheting.

Survivors include her mother, Donna Allen of Sioux City; sister, Patricia Murray of Sioux City; four children and their mates, Ernie Beamon and partner Johnnie Manley of Nashville, N.C., Angela and Chad Morgan of Moville, Iowa, Cindy and Craig Verbeski of Sioux City, and Anthony Beamon and his significant other Bobbie Ellis of Sioux City; 12 grandchildren, Charlee Grover and her husband Scott of Sioux City, Alicia Coon of Sioux City, Justin Coon of Sioux City, Jessica McKnight of Sioux City, Christopher McKnight of Sioux City, Joshua McKnight of Sioux City, Katelyn Daniels of Sioux City, Devon Beamon of Belle Fourche, S.D., Shelby Parrish of South Sioux City, Jerry (LG) Mapes of Sioux City, Michael Mapes of Sioux City, and Tommy Mapes of Sioux City; four great-grandchildren, Connor Grover, Ian Grover, Drake Grover, and Axal Grover all of Sioux City; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Clifford Allen of Sioux City; soulmate, Charles Reed of South Sioux City; brother, Donald Allen of Sioux City, grandson, Johnnie Coon of Sioux City, and brother-in-law, Clyde Murray of Sioux City.
