Francis J. “Frank” Hair, 68, of Sioux City, died Thursday, July 22, 1999 at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Christy-Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. LeRoy Struble officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Anthon, Iowa.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. today with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Hair was born November 23, 1930, at Calhoun, Iowa, the son of Nickles and Gladys (Tomlinson) Hair. When he was a small child the family lived in the Smithland area. He moved to Sioux City at age 15.

He married Shirley M. Struble on Nov. 7, 1959, at Luverne, Minn.

He was owner and operator of Frank’s Truck Terminal. He also worked for Jensen Construction for several years and worked for Great Northern Railroad for over 20 years. He retired in 1992.

He enjoyed fishing.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Leslie of Neosho, Mo., Rick and his wife, Rita Lalumendre of South Sioux City, and David and his wife, Rose of Sioux City, four daughters, Dianna Rowden of VanBuren, Ark., Debra and her husband, Jim Jennings of Parker, Colo., Susie and her husband, Mike Schlumbaum, of Sioux City and Cindy and her husband, Tracy Costa, of Parker, Colo., a sister and her husband, Opal and Guy Kidder of Ben Loman, Ark., and eight grandchildren; Jeff and Cortney Lalumendre, Brian and Charity Rowden, Kimberly Bryson, Christina Self, Nicole Gill and Christopher Knapp.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Carl D Hair.

Pallbearers will be Travis Gill, Bruce Weaver, Jeff Lalumendre, Jim Jennings, Mike Schlumbaum and Tracy Costa.
