PIERSON, Iowa — Eleanore M. Jerman, 58, of Pierson died unexpectedly Friday Nov. 6, 1998 at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Pierson United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Keith Pals officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today, with the family present 7 to 8 p.m. at Earnest-Michaelson Funeral Home in Kingsley, Iowa.

Mrs. Jerman was born April 12, 1940 in Nevada, Iowa, the daughter of Glen and Dorothea (Nehring) Corbin.

She married Duane Jerman on Feb. 11, 1961. She was employed with Northwestern Bell Telephone, helped prepared meals for people in the community and with Woodbury County Community Action Agency as a senior aide director for 17 years.

She was a member of Pierson United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband; three daughters and their husbands, Lori and Brett Carter, Brenda and Robert Dunkelberger and Stacey and Chris Skains, all of Fort Worth, Texas; two sons, Michael and his wife, Jacqueline of Joliet, Ill. and Henry of Pierson; eight grandchildren; a great-grandchild; three brothers and their wives, Chuck and Gloria Corbin of Ames, Iowa, Fred and Ruth Corbin of Sioux Center, Iowa, and Gary and Mary Corbin of Omaha, Neb.; a step-brother, John Tolicison and a step-sister, Doris Ofstuin.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
