SIOUX CITY | Albert R. Gosnell, 68, of Sioux City passed away Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at a local hospital.

Celebration of Life services will be held 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Waterbury Funeral Service. Burial will be at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Albert was born Feb. 11, 1944, in Bridgeport, Ill., the son of Sherman and Ida Mae (Fogle) Gosnell. He attended school in Bridgeport and in 1957, moved to Sioux City and attended Sioux City schools.

Albert was a machine operator at Black Brothers in Mendota, Ill. In 2002, he moved back to Sioux City and was a vending machine operator at the courthouse and federal building. Albert was a good carpenter and truly loved to work.

Survivors include his special companion, "Lu" of Sioux City; his mother, Ida Larson; sons, Dale Gosnell of LaSalle, Ill., and Michael Harker of London, England; daughter, Juanita and Curtis Razo of Mendota, Ill.; three grandchildren, Brooklynn, Clayton and Ella; and nieces and nephews, Richard, Greg, Jarrade, Melonie, Casey, Kristine, Paul, Mary, Gary, David and Bill.

Albert was preceded in death by his father; brothers, Allen and Arthur; and sister, Alice Long.
