SIOUX CITY -- Steven J. Hernandez, 48, of Sioux City passed away Sunday, Oct. 2, 2011, at a local hospital.

Services will be held 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1201 W. Clifton Ave., Sioux City. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service.

Steven was born March 4, 1963, in Sioux City, to John and Jane (Sheley) Hernandez. He spent most of his life in Sioux City. He worked on the East Coast for awhile, and then returned to Sioux City. Steven loved spending time on Facebook and played many Facebook games including Farmville and Café World; he also played World of Warcraft.

Survivors include his mother, Jane Hernandez of Sioux City; his brother, Michael Hernandez and his wife, Laura of Round Rock, Texas; his sister, Lynne Coffman and her husband, Harold of Bronson, Iowa; nephew, Zachary Coffman; and nieces, Rebecca Coffman of Sioux City, Alexis Hernandez and Erica Eason of Round Rock, Texas.

Steven was preceded in death by his father; one brother Francis; two sisters, Kathy Jo and Lisa Marie; and a nephew, Tom Coffman.
