Evelyn G. Taylor, 86 of Sioux City, IA died Friday, January 5th, 2001 at Burgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa, Iowa.

Mrs. Taylor was born February 20th, 1914 in Merrill, Iowa the daughter of Frank and Bertha (Schultz) Wetrosky. She attended and graduated in 1932 from Liberty Consolidated School in rural Merrill, Iowa. She married Myron N. Taylor November 26th, 1936 in Rural Merrill. He died November 25th, 1983.

Mrs. Taylor traveled and lived in several Iowa cities with her husband while he was employed with Northwestern Bell Telcphone Company. They lived in Sioux Rapids, Iowa for 10 years where she was the Church Organist at First Lutheran Church, and gave piano lessons. They moved to Sioux City in 1953 and she then was employed in retail sales with the J.C. Penny Company for over 10 years.

Mrs. Taylor was a member of Morningside Lutheran Church, the Church Circle, and Celebration Choir.

Mrs. Taylor enjoyed music, flowers, and gardening.

Survivors include one son, Larry G. Taylor and his wife Melissa of Salem, Oregon; one daughter, Marlene and her husband Norman Westergaard, of Sloan, Iowa; six grandchildren, Dani Johnson, Andy Taylor, Curtis Taylor, Mike Andrew, Patti Blake, Kris Westergaard; eight Great -Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Timothy Taylor; five. brothers, Arthur, Elmer, Walter, Gus, and Frank Wetrosky and one sister Ella Utesch.

Pallbearers will be Mike Andrews, Kris Westergaard, Dennis Blake, Clinton Wetrosky, Lowell Wetrosky and Richard Michaelis.

Nelson - Berger Morningside chapel was in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services were Tuesday, January 9th, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. at Morningside Lutheran Church with the Rev. Donohue Sart and Rev. Barbara Spaulding of Skien Lutheran Church, rural Sloan, Iowa officiating.

Visitation was Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with the family present at Nelson - Berger Morningside Chapel.

Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery.
