Ida B. Montgomery, 97, Spirit Lake, and formerly of 415 S. Rustin St., died Thursday of pneumonia at Hilltop Care Center in Spirit Lake.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Christy Morningside Funeral Home. The Rev. Stan Long, pastor of Rustin Avenue United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Montgomery, the former Ida B. Stone, was born June 13, 1888, in Loglick, Ky. She married Roy E. Montgomery in December of 1912 in Gibson City, Illinois. Mr Montgomery died Feb. 16, 1947, in Sioux City. She had been a Sergeant, Bluff resident until moving to Sioux: City in 1942. Mrs. Montgomery entered Hilltop Care Center in 1980.

She was a member of Rustin Avenue United Methodist Church and the Sergeant Bluff American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include two sons, Art of Martin City, Mont., and Harold of Hawthorne, Nev.; three daughters, Mrs. Marvin (Vivian) Blackford of Sergeant Bluff, and Mrs. Gene (Iris) Zunkel, and Mrs. John (Nita) Skoglund, both of Sioux City; 24 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren, and one great-great-great-grandaughter.
