8 January 2013SIOUX CITY ! Charles Henry Newsom, 70, of Sioux City, Iowa, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at his residence following a long illness. The body was cremated and there will be no visitation.
Charles Newsom was born Jan. 27, 1942, in Sioux City, the son of Benjamin and Alfreda Marie (Wynn) Newsom.
He was in the Army Reserves for four years. An iron worker, he retired from Prince Manufacturing. His passion was building furniture and being around his family.
Survivors include his brother, Alfred Newsom and wife of Sioux City; sister, Joyce Fox of Sioux City; daughter, Tesa Newsom of Sioux City; daughters, Karie and Lorie Newsom of Washington; and son, Kevin Newsom of Washington.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
