HORNICK, Iowa — Raymond G. "Mike" Carr, 72, of Hornick, died Friday March, 29, 1991, at the Onawa hospital.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Holly Springs Bible Fellowship Church, with the Rev. Galen D. Bennett officiating. Burial will be in Willow Township Cemetery at Holly Springs, with military rites by the Hindman-Steele American Legion Post 492 of Hornick.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 9 pm. today at the Wood Funeral Home in Sloan, with family present after 7 p.m.

Mr. Carr was born Jan. 1, 1919, near Holly Springs, son of Walter and Margaret Vera (Ware) Carr. He married Mildred Gallagher Feb. 10, 1946, in Omaha, Neb. He served in the Army during World War II from 1942 to 1946. He farmed in the Hornick area all his life.

He was a member of the American Legion, Post 492.

Survivors incrude his wife; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Fred and Karen Carr and Daryl Carr, all of Hornick; two brothers, Merle and Melvin, both of Hornick; three sisters, Mrs. Don (Ferne) Crichton of Hornick, Mrs. Henry (Marian) Romine of Idabel, Okla., and Mrs. Raymond (Mary) Fauset of New Braunfels, Texas; and two grandchildren, Kelly and Kari Carr of Hornick.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister.
