SIOUX CITY -- Charlotte Lucy Simon, 75, of Sioux City passed away Monday, Dec. 12, 2011, at a local hospital.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Augustana Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Del Olivier officiating. Private graveside services will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel.

Charlotte was born April 11, 1936, in Macy, Neb., the daughter of Charles Amos and Ida (Springer) Walker. She grew up in Macy.

Charlotte married Daniel Simon on April 21, 1956. He preceded her in death on March 25, 1990 in Sioux City.

Charlotte was a very shy and kind woman, who loved her family very much. She loved to bake, especially around the holidays. She also loved to garden, sew, and read. Charlotte was very steadfast in her faith, and passed along her beliefs, values, and faith to her family. She was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her three daughters, Denise Simon, Cynthia Simon, and Amy Simon and fiance, Paul Craft; her three sons, Daniel Simon, Alan Simon, and Christopher Simon, all of Sioux City; two brothers, Clarence Walker and Dale and wife, Debbie Parker; and a sister, Eunice Mohn.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; six brothers; and a sister.

Memorials may be directed towards the family in Charlotte's name.
