SIOUX CITY -- Randy Floyd Schultz, 58, of Sioux City died unexpectedly Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011, at a Sioux City hospital.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with Chaplain Steve Benson officiating. Burial of the cremated remains will be at a later date in Oak Hill Cemetery, Beauford, Minn. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home. Randy was born Aug. 28, 1953, in Mankato, Minn., the son of Wilbert and Lorraine (Bluhm) Schultz. He was baptized and confirmed at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Decoria, Minn. Randy graduated from Mapleton (Minn.) High School in 1971.

Randy had been married to Jan Armstrong. After graduation, Randy went to work with his father in road construction with Hallett Construction Co., working in Iowa. Later in life, he worked for Irving F. Jensen Construction in Sioux City.

Randy loved ice fishing, cooking, gardening, the Minnesota Vikings, his family and friends.

Survivors include two daughters, Jodi Schultz and her special friend, John Mahoney of Boone, Iowa, and Jessica and her husband, Mike Kline of Cummings, Ga.; his mother, Lorraine Schultz of Beauford, Minn.; his girlfriend of 14 years, Kelly Carnes of Sioux City; three sisters and their husbands, Peggy and John Kling of Shakopee, Minn., Suzette and Scott Drake of Chaska, Minn., and Tammy and Mark Larson of St. James, Minn.; his brother and his wife, Ronald and Tamara Schultz of Mapleton, Minn.; Kelly's children, Sunshine Carnes, Mandy and her husband, Steve Bell, and Dustin Carnes, all of Sioux City; 13 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and his two dogs, Katie Jo and Mia Johanna.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his father Wilbert Schultz; a niece, Kelli Drake; and a nephew, Troy Schultz.

Honorary pallbearers will be Rusty Reese, Will Keleher, Craig Schmidt, Ted Keleher and Shawn Keleher.
