Robert E. Collins, 81, Maple St., died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 1991, at a Sioux City hospital of a heart ailment.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Dennis Meinen officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation wii be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today with a parish vigil service at 7:30 p.m. at Christy Morningside Funeral.

Mr. Collins was born March 16, 1909, in Omaha. He move to Sioux City at a young age and reeived his education in Sioux City public schools. He married Norma Jean Haas Aug. 11, 1951, in Elk Point S.D. He was employed with the Western Weighing and Inspection Bureau for the railroad.

Mr. Collins was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and Mens Club. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, nephews, Gary Gene Gunderson of Sioux City, Tom of Kentucky, Ron of Chicago and Bob of Renton, Wash. and nieces, Kathy Corliss of Sioux City, Linda Drum of Las Vegas, Nev., and Mary Catherine and Delores, both of Kentucky.

He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Frank, Georage and Fred.
