SIOUX CITY -- Mildred Esther Trimble, 94, of Sioux City died peacefully Monday, Nov. 21, 2011.

Services will be 10 a.m. Sunday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Private graveside services will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mildred, the daughter of John and Estelle (Brown) Page, was born July 6, 1917, in Sioux City. She lived most of her life there, with the exception of the years she spent getting her college degree.

Mildred married Thomas Trimble on Feb. 6, 1947. After her children were grown and her husband died, she turned to community service. She accumulated more than 30,000 hours of volunteer service to Mercy Medical Center.

She was always active in the Sioux City Seventh Day Adventist Church as clerk, assistant treasurer, and Sabbath school teacher. She taught a weekly Bible study for many years, ending at age 90 when her mobility prevented her from attending on a regular basis. In her later years, Mildred enjoyed The Weather Channel, "Jeopardy," and "Wheel of Fortune."

Mildred is survived by her two children, Robert (Karin) Trimble and Nancy (Michael) Trimble Reinhardt; one brother, Walter Page; two grandsons, Richard (Melissa) Reinhardt and Peter Reinhardt; two stepgranddaughters, Lisa Uhalley and Kris Uhalley; two great-grandsons, Ryan Reinhardt and Aaron Reinhart; two great-stepgrandsons, Aaron Derr and Jason Derr; and one great-great-stepgrandson, Saxon.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas; one brother, Warren; and one sister, Lenora.
