Arrah Wannah Reitz, daughter of Wilbur and Alice (Powell) Ash, was born October 4, 1907 at Sioux City, Iowa and died Thursday, September 12, 1974 at Battle Creek, Iowa. She had reached the age of 66 years 11 months and 8 days.
She lived in Sioux City until her marriage to Albert Reitz at South Sioux City, Nebraska on January 27, 1929. Following their marriage they lived in the Mapleton Community until 1952 when they moved to Orleans, Nebraska, for two years. In 1954 they moved to Danbury and had made their home there since.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and two granddaughters.
Survivors include her husband, Albert, of Danbury; three daughters, Mrs. Wilma Clemons of South Sioux City, Nebraska, Mrs. Vernon (Mary Lou) Leisinger of Moville, Iowa and Mrs. Thomas (Joyce) Boston of Kremmling, Colorado; three sons, Albert E. of Monrovia, California, Earl of Onawa and Donald of Danbury; two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Baird and Mrs. Nellie McNaughton, both of Beatrice, Nebraska; one brother, Kenneth Ash of Sioux City, Iowa, 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, September 16, 1974 at 9:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Danbury. Rev. Walter Enstrom officiated and burial was in the Heisler Cemetery at Mapleton.
Pallbearers were James Baird, Kenneth Ash, Richard Baird, Archie Ramm, Vernon Reitz and Lawrence Reitz.
