M. Judith "Judy" Rosfjord, 83, of Sioux City passed away Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 7 p.m. today at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel, with the Rev. Tom LoVan officiating. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. today, with family present 5 to 7 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Rosehill Cemetery in Marshalltown, Iowa. Online condolences may be posted at www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Judy was born Aug. 27, 1929, in Marshalltown, the daughter of Thadeus and Alfreda (Busch) McDonnell. She graduated from Marshalltown High School.

Judy married Donald Rosfjord on Aug. 14, 1949, in Marshalltown. He died in April 1997 in Sioux City.

She was a homemaker. In her younger years, Judy was a nurse's aide and a talented seamstress. She was devoted to her family, especially to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed keeping up on current events and politics. Judy enjoyed going shopping with her family and reading. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed the company of her dog Sophie.

Survivors include seven children, Mark (Lonnie) Rosfjord of Pocahontas, Iowa, Craig Rosfjord of Eagle Lake, Minn., Susan Dean of Sioux City, Chris (Betty Ann) Rosfjord of Estherville, Iowa, Celia (Terence) Mulroy of Sioux City, Penny Rosford (husband Jim Bruggeman) of Sioux City and Emily (Kevin) Wilder of Sioux City; 14 grandchildren, Shelly, Carrie, Sarah, Heidi, Seth, Camille, Christopher, Ryan, Jill, Jacob, Jordan, Dan, David and Walter; 16 great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Rod McDonnell; and a sister, Joyce Archie.
