Clarence "Bob" LeRoy Ege Jr., 86, of Sioux City passed away Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at Touchstone Living Center.

Per his wishes, the body will be cremated. Memorial service will be 2 p.m. today at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Tess Panamarow officiating. Burial of his cremains will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Bob was born on March 24, 1926, in Sioux City, to Clarence LeRoy and Jean (McLoud) Ege Sr. He served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1946. He worked for more than 50 years as an auto body man in Sioux City and South Sioux City.

He was married to Dorothy Durig on Dec. 21, 1946, in Sioux City. She passed away on Sept. 12, 1971. He was later married to Loraine Bergmark on July 10, 1981, in Sioux City. She preceded him in death on July 4, 2012, in Sioux City.

Bob enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding motorcycles, watching NASCAR, bowling, and whittling animals out of wood. He loved spending time with his family and was a wonderful and loving grandfather. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Bob is survived by his son, Rich Ege of Sioux City; daughter, Carol (Leo) French of Alabama; stepson, Mark McKleroy of Sioux Falls, S.D.; three stepdaughters, Maurine McKleroy of Denver, Colo., Stacie Kautz of Las Vegas, Nev., and Lynn McKleroy of Denver; and three grandchildren, Katie Evers, Carrie Ege Lynn, and Kim Ege.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two wives; a brother, John; a sister, Betty; two daughters, Chris and Vicki; and a son, Gary.
