Fred A. Clarey, 55, of Sioux City passed away Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, in Rochester, Minn.

A celebration of life prayer service will be 6 p.m. Thursday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home. Visitation will be 4:30 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Fred was born on Jan. 10, 1957, in Torrance, Calif., to James and Phyllis (Dierking) Clarey.

Fred married Wendy Anderson on Dec. 12, 1975, in Sioux City. He worked at Great West Casualty as an insurance adjuster.

Fred was a proud father and grandpa of four children and four grandchildren. He enjoyed many outdoors activities including fishing and camping.

Survivors include his wife, Wendy Clarey; daughters, Allyson Trometer and Amy Clarey; sons, Brad (Mona) Clarey, and James (Kristy) Clarey; grandchildren, Aubrey Trometer, Brayden and Morgan Clarey and Alena Clarey; and siblings, Mike Clarey, Pat Clarey, Cathy Birns, Ed Clarey, Howard Clarey, Joe Clarey, and Holly Broderick.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Laurie Muilenburg and John Clarey.
