14 December 2012Leonard L. Munsen, 82, of Correctionville, passed away Saturday, Dec. 4, 2012, at Touchstone Living Center in Sioux City.
Graveside services and burial will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Correctionville Cemetery, with military rites conducted by American Legion Mumford Moon Post 79 and VFW Post 1750 of Correctionville. Arrangements are under the direction of Nicklas D. Jensen Funeral Home in Correctionville.
Leonard L. Munsen was born Dec. 1, 1930, to Arthur and Mary Munsen. He graduated from Correctionville High School.
He married Eva Munsen. They had four children. Eva and Leonard were lifelong business partners throughout the United States.
Leonard was a volunteer fireman. He was a member of the Chamber of Commerce and American Legion.
Survivors include his daughters, MaryAnn (Jim) Kristl, JoLynn (Mark) Demarest and Karen (Kirk) Bruene; his son, Steven (Melissa) Munsen; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and lifelong friend, Don Brauninger.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Eva; his parents; a brother, Harold; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
