8 Decemberf 2012Marilyn D. Tommeraasen, 87, of Lincoln, Neb., formerly of Sioux City, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, at Southlake Village in Lincoln.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. today in Graceland Cemetery in Sioux City. Visitation with the family will follow services today in the Yockey Community Room, Olsen Student Center, Morningside College campus. Arrangements are under the direction of Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Condolences may be left at lincolnfh.com.
She was born Aug. 18, 1925, in Canton, S.D., to Ludwig and Palma (Narum) Fladmark.
Survivors include her daughter, Marsha L. (Martin) Heimann of Allentown, Pa.; sons, Mark Tommeraasen (Jennifer Saperstein) of Boulder, Colo., and Miles C. (Christi) Tommeraasen, M.D. of Lincoln; grandchildren, Meghan (Garret) Perrin of New Providence, N.J., Kyle McDaniel of San Francisco and Miles A. Jess and Jared Tommeraasen, both of Lincoln; two great-grandsons, Jack and Cole Perrin of New Providence; and her sister, Natalie (Milo) Stroschein of Sioux Falls, S.D.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Miles Tommeraasen.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to The Dr. Miles and Marilyn Tommeraasen Endowment Scholarship, c/o Morningside College, 1501 Morningside Ave., Sioux City IA 51106.
