ANTHON, Iowa — Marian Rita Craig, 90, of Anthon died Tuesday, Aug. 18, 1998, at her brother's residence in Anthon.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Anthon, with the Rev. David Hogan officiating. Burial will be in Danbury Catholic Cemetery, Danbury, Iowa.

Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today, with the vigil service at 7 p.m., at Armstrong Funeral Home in Anthon.

Miss Craig was born July 11, 1908, in Danbury, the daughter of John M. and Mary F. (Smith) Craig. She graduated from St. Patrick's Academy in Danbury and later taught in various country schools in the Danbury area.

In 1944, she moved to California, where she was employed with Kaiser Shipyards in Richmond, Calif. In 1945, she began teaching in Richmond. She received her bachelor of education degree from San Francisco State College in 1951, and did post graduate work at the college. She then taught in Concord, Calif., until retiring in 1966. In 1972, she moved to Anthon.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Survivors include two brothers, Thomas and Walter and his wife, Annebelle, all of Anthon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.
