LE MARS, Iowa — Barbara Ann Potts, 70, of Monroe, Ohio, formerly of Le Mars died Sunday, March 5, 2000; at Middletown Regional Hospital in Middletown, Ohio.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Correctionville Cemetery with the Rev. James Ransom officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars.

Miss Potts was born Aug. 5, 1929 at Correctionville, Iowa, the daughter of Carl P. and Loisetta M. (Stubbs) Potts. She graduated from Park College in Parkville, Mo., and McCormick Seminary in Chicago. She became a certified Christian Educator in 1983.

She served as Christian Education Director at First Presbyterian Church in Monroe, Ill. from 1973 to 1986. After her retirement in 1986 she became the Activities Director at Gardep Manor Retirement Village.

She belonged to the SOROP international of Middletown, AAUW, was past moderator of Miami Presbytery and past president and moderator of Presbyterian Women at First Presbyterian Church in Monroe.

She is survived by many friends in Middletown and Monroe, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Stanley Eugene and Dwight Mason Potts.
