SIOUX CITY -- Beth Ann Gurnsey, 49, of Sioux Falls, S.D., formerly of Sioux City, entered peacefully into eternal rest Friday, March 9, 2012, in the comfort of her home.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Evangelical Free Church in Sioux City. Arrangements are under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home in Sioux Falls.

Beth was born Sept. 13, 1962, the eighth child born to Bonnie Rissell. She enjoyed sharing time with her friends and family. She had a passion for playing cards and games with no aspiration to win, but just to have fun. She had a carefree spirit and a beautiful smile to show it. Beth made a loving choice in her life to relinquish her son, David, for adoption at birth.

Survivors include her stepfather, Gene Rissell of Jefferson, S.D.; her siblings, Linda Conner of Sioux City, Cathie Shafer of San Antonio, Texas, Janice Clay of Sioux City, Rick Clay of Omaha, Neb., George Clay of Sioux City, Doug Gurnsey of San Angelo, Texas, Edward Gurnsey of Greeley Colo., and Pam Rissell of Sioux City; her children, Chrystal Gurnsey (Josh Dyson) and their children Colton and Collin, Charles Bugely, Freda Bugely, April Bugely and Bobby Jo Bugely; and nine grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Bonnie June Rissell; her grandmother, Vera Louise (Smith) McGinnis; a brother, James Gurnsey; a brother-in-law, Michael Shafer; and her partner in life, Art Bugely.
