Lucille Leona McCormick, 81, of Correctionville died Friday, Jan. 8, 1999, at the Correctionville Nursing and Rehab Center.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Anthon, Iowa, with the Rev. David J. Hogan officiating. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery at Anthon. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. and a Scripture service at 7 p.m. at the Barker Funeral Home in Correctionville.

Mrs. McCormick was born Nov. 23, 1917, at Bloomfield, Neb., to Joseph and Rose (Machous) Noecker. She graduated from sdhool in Bloomfield. She married Clarence B. McCormick on Sept. 2, 1941, at Constance, Neb. Following her education she was an amateur cartoonist. The couple resided at Santee, Neb. until moving to Correctionville in 1951. She held art classes in Correctionville and also taught art classes at Western Iowa Tech Community College in Sioux City. He died in 1982.

She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Survivors include four sons, Jack of Fair Oaks, Calif., Daniel and his wife Evelyn of Sheridan, Ore., Kelly of Correctionville, and Patrick of San Francisco; two daughters and their husbands, Susan and Tom Elgert of Sioux City. Gayle and Jon Foard of Alexandra, Ark.; a sister, Phyllis Noecker of Le Mars, Iowa; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Roger
