Ann M. Wright, 76, of Quimby died Saturday, Aug. 10, 1996, at her home following a lengthy illness.

Services will be 10:30 a.m, Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cherokee, Iowa, with the Rev. Gene Sitzmann officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Anthon, Iowa. Visitation will be Monday with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service at the Greenwood Funeral Home in Cherokee.

Mrs. Wright, the former Ann King, was born March 18, 1920, in rural Anthon the daughter of A.J. and Mary (McDermott) King. She attended school in Anthon and graduated from Kingsley (Iowa) High
School in 1938. She married Dale Wright on March 17, 1947 in Cherokee. He died Feb. 2, 1966. Mrs. Wright worked for many years as a cook in various cafes. She also worked for the Vilas Company of Storm Lake, Iowa, and Hartley Creamery in Cherokee.

Mrs. Wright was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, St. Helen's Guild, and The Sew-A-Bit Club all of Quimby.

Survivors include four sons, Gary and his wife Dorothr of Vermillion, S.D., Phillip of Cherokee and Mike and his wife Ann, and Douglas, all of Quimby; five daughters, Naney, and Terri and her husband Steven Chester, all of Quimby, Carol and her husband Richard Wych bf Holstein, Iowa, and Deborah and her husband Mark Courtright and Cathy and her husband Larry Nicolaisen, all of Cherokee; 18 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Velrene Swanger of Cleghorn, Iowa, and Jerry and her husband Bill Foley of Quimby.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, two sisters, and two grandchildren.
