QUIMBY, Iowa — John H. Kuhn Sr.,68, of Quimby died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 1996, at his home.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at St. John's Catholic Church in Quimby with the Rev. James Smith officiating. Burial will be in Mt. St. Joseph Catholic Cemtery in Anthon, Iowa. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. today at the church, with a 7:30 p.m. vigil wake service. The Armstrong Funeral Home of Anthon is in charge of arrangenients.

Mr. Kuhn was born Nov. 24, 1928, in rural Anthon, The son of John and Mary (Eicholdt) Kuhn. He married Maude L. Johnson May 16, 1950, in Sioux City. The couple lived in the Bronson, Iowa, area where they farmed and drove a gravel truck. They moved to Quimby in 1960 and in 1966 started Kuhn's Garage, where they both worked as diesel mechanics and welders. She died Oct. 6,1980.

Survivors include a son and his wife, John Jr and Mary of Winthrop, Minn.; four daughters, Patricia and her husband Jerry Hankins of Marion, Iowa, Linda and her husband, Roberto Delion of Deloit, Wis., Mary Lue and her husband David Bauer of Aurelia, and Iowa, Kim Kuhn of New Mexico, and seven grandchildren, Greg, Chris. Jeremy; Nicole, Kelsey, Jennifer and Nathanial.
