CORRECTONVILLE, Iowa —
Alma Mae Schmidt, 79, of Correctionville died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 1996, at Correctionville Nursing and Rehab Center.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Grace United Methodist Church, Correctionville with the Rev. Dee Ann Klapp officiating.

Burial will be in the Correctionville Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the Barker Funeral Home in Correctionville.

Mrs. Schmidt was born Feb. 17, 1917, in McGregor, Minn., the daughter of Edward and Laura Evelyn (Macklin) Koskovich.

She married Gustav Schmidt July 22, 1935, in Vermillion, S.D. He died May 26, 1984.

Mrs. Schmidt was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and Mumford-Moon Amerian Legion Auxiliary in Correctionville.

Survivors include a daughter, Kathy and her husband, Monty Clark of Correctionville; two grandchildren Anthony and Shelby; seven brothers, Dale of Kingsley, Ralph and his wife, Lunetta of Storm Lake, Earle and his wife, Marion of Omaha, Russell and his wife, Marvel of Correctionville, Wayne and his wife, Marie of Renton, Wash., Edward and his wife, Ardis of Lake Benton, Wash., and Leon and his wife, Phyllis of Renton, Wash., and two sisters and their husbands, Ruby and LaVern Jirak of Grant's Pass, Ore., and Betty and Daker Volkert of Sun City, Calif.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Eric Clark and an infant brother, Albert.
