SIOUX CITY | Harold Farley, 84, of Santee, Neb., formerly of Sioux City, got his wings on Oct. 6, 2012.

He was born on Feb. 18, 1928. He married Arlene Mead on Dec. 24, 1946. They had three children, Vicky Boucher, Harold "Butch" Farley and Charlotte "Sis" Gaynor.

He will be missed, but never forgotten. Here are a few words from his wife and children:

We were married for 66 years and we did everything together. We had many happy times. I'm going to miss you and have to learn to do some things without you. I will always love you and remember you the rest of my life, love Arlene.

Dad thank you for showing me how to be creative and looking for the solution to each problem. You were always positive, never negative. A guy who could make something from nothing. I'll miss you, Love Butch.

Dad thank you for teaching me how to be a survivor and with a little imagination anything is possible, a true child of McGyver. I'll miss you but I'll also smile whenever I think about you too. I love you, Sis.

My father was a very talented man and always had a smile on his face. He will be missed by those who knew him. He will be remembered in a thousand different ways. You will be out of our sight but never out of our mind. Love Vicky.
