SIOUX CITY | Harold Meyer, 94, of Joshua Tree, Calif., formerly of Sioux City, died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012.

Graveside services will be at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City. Arrangements are under the direction of Wiefel's Mortuary in Yucca Valley, Calif.

Harold was born Aug. 31, 1918, in Wall Lake, Iowa. He served with the U.S. Army, 34th Division, from 1941 to 1945.

He resided in Sioux City from 1963 to 1995. He was employed 21 years with A.Y. McDonald Manufacturing. He managed the parking lot for Crary Law Firm from 1988 to 1995. He had been a resident of Joshua Tree since 1999.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Arlene (Lanz) Meyer; three sons, Greg (Alice) Meyer of Sioux City, Bruce Meyer of Joshua Tree and Mitch Meyer of Hurricane, Utah; two grandchildren, Shaun Meyer of Salix, Iowa, and Becky (Matt) Fessler of Brookings, S.D.; and three great-grandchildren, Emily Fessler of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Joshua and Molly Fessler of Brookings.
