Doris E. Schreiner, 85, Moville died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 1997, at a Sioux City hospital of an accident near her residence.
Memorial services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Moville United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Harold E. Werley officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Township Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today at the McCulloch Funeral Home in Moville.
Mrs. Schreiner was born June 9, 1912, in Wheeler County, Texas, the daughter of Elmer and Sue (Raymond) Schneider. She moved with her family to Goodell, Iowa, where she was raised. She graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in home economics.
She married Dale G. Schreiner on May 28, 1936, in Ames, Iowa. He died Feb. 6, 1970, in Moville. She had lived in Moravia, where she taught in the high school, and Ottumwa, Iowa and Hibbings, Minn., briefly before moving to Moville in 1939. She was employed as a home economist for the REC and was a substitute teacher in the school system.
She was a member of Moville United Methodist Church and was involved in church and community oraganizations and activities.
Survivors include three daughters, Marilyn Woods of St. Louis Park. Minn., Doris and her husband Ed Williams of Council Bluffs, Iowa and Diana Stumm of Palo Alto, Calif.; five grandchildren, Eric, Eron and Elana Woods, Jenni Fundermann, and Jason Williams; three great-grandchildren; and a brother and his wife, Fred and Elizabeth Schneider of Ames, Iowa.
She was preceded in death brother, Bob Schneider.
