James W. Cross, 67, of Moville died Friday, Jan. 31, 1997, following a lengthy illness.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Moville United Merhodist Church, with the Rev. Harold E. Werley of-ficiating. Burial will be in Arlington Township Cemetery at Moville. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m, at McCulloch Funeral Home at Moville.

Mr. Cross was born July 7, 1929, in rural Woodbury County. He attended a rural Moville country school. He married Irma Pritchett on Nov. 19, 1949, at Elk Point, S.D. She died Jan. 17, 1996. He was a lifelong resident of the Moville area. He worked for Needham's Packing Plant while farming and farmed for the majority of his life.

He was member of the Moville United Methodist Church and of the Eagles.

Surviors include a son and his wife, Jim and Sherry of Moville; two grandsons, Adam and Jerry; a sister, Luella Lowther of Moville; a brother, John of. Moville; and a half-brother, Charles Swalley of Sanborn, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James R. and Emma.

Pallbearers include Darrell Manker, Jon Hess, Keith Petersen, Bud Chapman, Ray Johnson, and Wyndham French.
