A. Earline Hunting, 98, of Moville passed away Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, at Kingsley Nursing and Rehab Center in Kingsley, Iowa.

Abiding by her wishes, private family graveside services, with her extended family, will be in Arlington Township Cemetery, Moville. The Rev. Ed Frank of Moville United Methodist Church will officiate. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of McCulloch Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home in Moville.

Earline was born in Arlington Township, Woodbury County, Iowa, on Sept. 16, 1914, to Earl and Edna (Sanderson) Guthridge. She grew up and attended school in Moville. She graduated from Moville High School in 1932.

She married Harmon Hunting on April 5, 1939. He passed away on May 27, 1986. Earline was a lifelong resident of Moville, except for a short time the family lived in Cushing, Iowa. The family moved back to Moville in 1942 and had been residents there ever since.

Prior to her marriage, she worked in a bakery. She was later a homemaker and following her children going to school, she worked in the family grocery store until the mid-1970s, when she retired.

She was a member of Moville United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher. She also was a Cub Scout den mother and member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She also belonged to the Garden Club and the Investment Smile Club. Earline enjoyed bridge, board games, and cribbage. She was a former Meadows Country Club member.

Survivors include her three children, Coni and Joe Coffey of Dysart, Iowa, Gene Hunting and Dena Hare of Lincoln, Neb., and Rand and Jan Hunting of Overland Park, Kan.; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Margie Guthridge of Moville; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a brother, Raymond Guthridge; and two sisters, Ruth Petersen and Angie Rounds.
