Darryll W. Junck, 77, of Sioux City passed away Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, at a local hospital.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Calvary Lutheran Church, with the Rev. James Travis officiating. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Darryll was born on Aug. 2, 1935, in Sioux City, the son of Irvin and Bernice (Ferguson) Junck. He graduated from Hinton (Iowa) High School.

Darryll married Wilma Griffith in August 1956. To this union, two children were born. The couple later divorced. Darryll worked in the maintenance department of IBP for many years. He then worked various jobs later in life.

Survivors include his children, Kris Bergin of Phoenix, Ariz., and Dr. Daniel L. Junck of Oakland, Calif.; a granddaughter, Miranda Bergin; two sisters, Gail and husband, Dar Burricht, and Sue and her husband, Dr. Donald Pansegrau; one brother, Dr. Neal Junck and his wife, Colleen; numerous nieces and nephews; and partner, Diane Zimmerman.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a half brother, Lowell Ferguson
