September 05, 2012James A. "Jim" Huck, 62, of Sioux City passed away Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012, in Sioux City.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Logan Park Cemetery, with military rites conducted by the U.S. Army. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service.
Jim was born on Nov. 30, 1949, in Sioux City, the son of Clifford and Mizpah (Player) Huck. He graduated from Heelan High School in 1968. He was in the U.S. Army from October 14, 1970, to October 13, 1973.
Jim attended college in Omaha for history and coaching. He was employed at AB Dick, owned a bar on Fifth Street, and was a sporting goods salesman. He was also employed with the city of Sioux City parks and recreation.
He enjoyed the Kentucky Derby, Iowa Hawkeyes, and the Atlanta Braves.
Survivors include his daughter, Lindsey Addy of Cherokee, Iowa; son, Tyler Addy of Onawa, Iowa; sister, Pamela Speck of Wenatchee, Wash.; brother-in-law, Jerry Speck of Wenatchee; two nieces, Robin Speck of Richland, Wash., and Lisa Speck-Muchlinski of Kennewick, Wash.; grandniece, Serena Roetcisoender of Kennewick; and two grandnephews, Colby Muchlinski, and Cade Muchlinski, both of Kennewick.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents.
