September 12, 2012Ann K. Anderson, 95, of Sioux City passed away on Monday, Sept. 10, 2012 at Westwood Nursing and Rehab Center.
Funeral services will be held 1:30 pm. Thursday, at Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Rev. R. Paul Johnston officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com
Ann was born on March 14, 1917 in Akron, Iowa, to John G. and Johanna (Neilson) Moller. She attended Akron schools and received her beautician certification from LeMars Beauty College. She was married to Major William Anderson in 1954. He preceded her in death in 1986 in Sioux City. Ann owned and operated her own beauty salon for many years in Sioux City.
She enjoyed visiting with family and friends and was a wonderful cook and baker. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, and a 50-plus year member of The Daughter’s of the Nile and The Eastern Star.
Ann is survived by her two sons, Doug Anderson of Sioux City and Bill Anderson of Iowa City, Iowa; a brother Robert (Velma) Moller of Hawarden, Iowa; and two sisters-in-law, Lillian Moller of Le Mars, Iowa, and Cecilia Moller of Huxley, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and four brothers, John, Gerhard, Henry and Richard Moller.
