SIOUX CITY | Alexi Anne Vaul, 15, of Sioux City died Sunday, Aug. 26, 2012, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Larkin Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home, 2320 Outer Drive, in Sioux City, with the Rev. Donna Smith officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.christysmith.com .

Alexi was born on Jan. 24, 1997, in Sioux City, to Allan and Melissa (Frey) Vaul. She was a sophomore at North High School.

Her hobbies included playing softball at Chautauqua Park, hunting with her dad, reading, craft work, being her older sister's hair stylist and hanging out with her friends. Alexi enjoyed her summer job of detasseling corn and always enjoyed babysitting her cousins and her nephew.

Survivors include her parents, Allan and Melissa Vaul of Sioux City; brother, Aaron Vaul of Sioux City; sister, Jessica Vaul and boyfriend, Oscar Boggs of Sioux City; a nephew, Karson Boggs of Sioux City; grandparents, Kenn and Karen Vaul of Sioux City, Larry Frey of Sioux City, and Mary Frey of Sioux City; uncles and aunts, Russ and Erin Frey of Fargo, N.D., Chasity Frey and Charity Frey of Sioux City, Mark and Jami Vaul of Lawton, Iowa, Kurt and Kristina Vaul of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and 13 cousins, Cody, Colton, Haley, Jordon, Alex, Zach, Charlie, Myles, Mayson, Drake, Chase, Josh, and Daryl.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Jene and Harry Schulte, and Hazel and Arthur Allan; a great-grandmother, Edith Collins; and a cousin, Jerszey.
