August 23, 2012SIOUX CITY | Marjorie H. Grau, 88, of Sioux City passed away Monday, Aug. 20, 2012, at Sunrise Retirement Community.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home.
Marjorie was born on Oct. 28, 1923, in Le Mars, Iowa, to Charles and Anna (Ferrichs) Rembe.
She married Russell Grau in Le Mars on Oct. 21, 1939.
She enjoyed volunteer work in the kitchen at church. She treasured her time spent with family, especially her grandchildren. Hugs were her specialty.
Survivors include her children, Thomas and Susie Grau, Connie and Stanley Eriksen, and Scott and Jacquelyn Grau; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Sue Carol Grau; sisters, Georgia Madsen, and Evelyn Lancaster; and brothers, Harold, Louis, and Donald Rembe.
