Deloris "Tenor" Schrunk, 89, passed away on May 21, 2012, at Willow Dale Wellness Village in Battle Creek, Iowa.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Danbury, with the Rev. Terry Roder presiding. Burial will be in Danbury Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service Thursday, with a rosary led by St. Mary's Rosary Society at 10:15 a.m., at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Armstrong Funeral Home of Danbury and Mapleton, Iowa.

Tenor Schrunk was born on Nov. 30, 1922, in Danbury, the daughter of Patrick and Irene (McQuillen) Fitzpatrick. She graduated from St. Patrick's Academy and the National Business College in Sioux City. She was employed with the Army Intelligence Office at Hill Field, Ogden, Utah, for three years.

On May 12, 1949, she was united in marriage to Richard Schrunk at St. Patrick's Church in Danbury.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Mary's Rosary Society and a past member of the Willow Vale Golf Club.

Survivors include one daughter, Irene Schrunk of Sioux City; one son, Michael Schrunk and his wife, Sharon of Spirit Lake, Iowa; four grandchildren, Nicholas, Caedryn, Erin and Gineal; one niece, Margaret; and one nephew, Eugene.

Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and one sister.
