Antonia "Toni" Wright, 76, of Sioux City passed away Sunday, April 1, 2012, at a local hospital.

Abiding by her wishes, cremation will take place. There will be no public services. The family will have a memorial in her honor at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Toni, the daughter of Fred W. Potter and Caroline (Struck) Potter, was born on Sept. 29, 1935. She graduated from Evanston Township High School and from Lake Forest College.

Toni married Clark "Bud" Wright on June 19, 1957, in Evanston. The couple lived in Japan and Alaska while Bud was stationed in the U.S. Navy. They later settled in the Phoenix and Mesa, Ariz., areas, where they lived for 40 years until moving to Sioux City in 2003.

As a homemaker, Toni was most proud of her grandchildren and was completely devoted to her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling with Bud several times to England and also visiting her family. Toni was an active member of P.E.O., first in Mesa, then in Sioux City.

Toni is survived by her husband, Bud of Sioux City; a half sister, Penny (Derek) Potter of Mason Neck, Va.; a half brother, Fred (Lori) Potter of Riverside, Ill.; a son, Clark H. (Ann) Wright of Johns Creek, Ga.; a daughter, Julianne (Tom) Groff of Webster, N.Y.; and four grandchildren, Brett Wright of Salem, N.H., and Abigail, Jacob, and Bodey Groff of Webster, N.Y.

Toni was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Fred.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the June E. Nylen Cancer Center in Sioux City.
