Theresa Ann Myres, 32, of Sioux City, formerly of Moville, entered into peace on Monday, June 4, 2012, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Moville. Burial will be in Arlington Township Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with a parish rosary at 4 p.m., the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a parish vigil service at 7 p.m., at the church. The family encourages everyone to wear their Theresa’s Troops T-shirts to the visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of McCulloch Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home in Moville.

Theresa was born on Oct. 12, 1979, in Sioux City. She grew up in Moville and graduated from Woodbury Central High School in 1998. During high school, Theresa was involved with the Moville Ambulance Responders and was a lifeguard at Haskell Pool. She then moved to Sioux City to attend Briar Cliff University, where she graduated in 2002 with a degree in English. During the summers she was the pool manager at Haskell Pool in Moville.

Upon finishing her degree, she worked at Handleman Company, Long Lines and First American Bank. Theresa continued attending Briar Cliff University pursuing a master’s degree in human resources until she became ill. Theresa started her career as a human resource specialist at Boys and Girls Home in Sioux City from 2008 where she worked up until the time of her death. She was also a Scentsy consultant.

Theresa attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. In 2004, Theresa donated one of her kidneys to a cousin and upon her death donated her corneas. She enjoyed cooking and baking, spending time with friends, music and hanging out at Rhonda’s Speak Easy. Theresa was an avid QVC shopper and loved all things Christmas.

Survivors include her mother, Kathy Myres of Moville; sister, Stephanie Myres of Sioux City; brother, Chris and Amy Myres of Sioux City; niece, Toni Jo Boggs; nephew, Trennan Krogman; niece, McKenna Boggs; nephew, Finnegan Myres; nephew, Collin Myres; grandmother, Veronica Koebel of Moville; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; Theresa’s Troops; and other relatives and family.

She was preceded in death by her grandpa, Leo Koebel; aunt, Elaine Koebel; aunt, Trudi Koebel; and cousin, Nicholas Pilar.

Pallbearers are Patrick Burke, Aaron Jensen, Tony Jensen, Jason Koebel, John Koebel, Justin Pilar and Travis Pilar.
