Lynette "Lynn" F. Fey, 63, of Sioux City, passed away Monday, July 30, 2012, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. John Lutheran Church in Galva, Iowa, with the Rev. Paul D. Egger officiating. Burial will be in Diamond Cemetery, Aurelia, Iowa. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Nicklas D. Jensen Funeral Home in Holstein, Iowa. A celebration of life service will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Fourth Street Cafe in Sioux City. Lynn was born on April 27, 1949, in Storm Lake, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Lea (Lullmann) Kreutz. She grew up on a farm in rural Aurelia and attended school in Galva, graduating with the class of 1967.

Lynn married Alan Fey on May 23, 1970, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. They made their home in Sioux City, where they raised their two daughters. Lynn worked for the Sioux City Community School District for 37 years, retiring in 2010. She loved and cherished the time she spent with her co-workers.

A loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother, her family was always her first priority. She treasured the time she spent with her family and close friends. She enjoyed fishing with the love of her life, doing puzzles, playing cards and bingo with her friends. She also enjoyed the "occasional" trip to the casino and treasured ladies night out with her dearest friends.

She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Alan Fey of Sioux City; two daughters, Tracey and significant other, Courtney Heller of North Liberty, Iowa, and Shelly and Kirt Klug of Waterbury, Neb.; eight grandchildren; brothers, Loren and his wife, Ann Kreutz of Aurelia and Lyle and his wife, Sara of Holstein; two brothers in-law and their wives, Earl and Vivian Fey of Iowa Falls, Iowa, and Dennis and Linda Fey of Sioux City; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her mother and father-in-law, Frank and Vesta Fey.
