Larry Kluckman Sr. of Universal City, Texas, formerly of Sioux City, died July 5, 2012.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Larry was born on Sept. 9, 1948, in Watertown, S.D., to Melvin and Della Kluckman. He married Peggy Anderson on June 16, 1971, in Elk Point, S.D.

He was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He worked as a mechanic in the Sioux City area, and enjoyed restoring cars until his move to Texas.

His passing has left a void in many lives. He leaves behind many friends with whom his friendship was cherished, trusted, and respected. He lived his life with integrity, honesty, and hard work. His humble and thoughtful ways will always be remembered and missed by his family, friends, and neighbors, who were fortunate to have known him. He will be rewarded as he joins his Lord for all eternity.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Peggy; son, Larry Kluckman Jr. (Ronna); three grandchildren, Katelyn, Brieanna, and Ryatt; and his precious dachshunds, Katie and Charlie. He is also survived by family who loved him, Mary Lundeen, Marjorie Bierman, and Paul Barsh. He shared a special kinship with his in-laws, Loyd Bierman, Nancy Barsh, Susan, Grant Fitch, and Norman Anderson.
