11 July 1946John Henry Hansen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Hansen, was born March 28, 1913, at Danbury, IA, and came to the Correctionville community with his parents at the age of 16.
March 11, 1942, he entered the service of his country and served 3 years as an anti-aircraft gunner in the Pacific Theater of World War II and was given an honorable discharge October 27, 1945.
He leaves to mourn his departure his parents, 4 sisters, Mrs. John Seibold of Danbury, Mrs. Russel Neff of Woodbine, and Mrs. Earl Phares of Portland, Oregon, and Dorothy of Correctionville; 7 brothers, Martin, Donald, Raymond, Leonard, Leo, Dan and Elmer Hansen, all of Correctionville, 8 nieces, 4 nephews and a host of loved ones and friends.
He is buried in the Correctionville Cemetery.
