22 December 1992Walter T. Wyant, 75, of Cherokee Village, Ark.and formerly of Sioux City, died Thursday, December 17, 1992, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.
A Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Billy Sunday Memeorial Tabernacle in Sioux City with Pastor Glee Lockwood officiating. The body was cremated and the ashes will be buried at a later date.
Mr. Wyant was born April 6, 1917, in Snyder, Nebraska. He married Maxine Fegley July 10, 1938, in Allen, Nebraska. He was co-owner of E.L. Graham Brake Service in Sioux City for many years and retired in Cherokee Village in 1976. He was an avid golfer and fisherman.
Mr. Wyant was a member of the First Baqptist Church of Cherokee Village. He served as an officer in the Army during World War II. He was a past member of the Sioux City Consistory and Lions Club.
Survivors include his wife, a son, Richard and his wife, Patty of Sioux City; two daughters, Susan and her husband, Jon Dannenberg of Sioux City and Lynne and her husband, Joel Cepeda of El Paso, Texas; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, Kenneth of Vista, California.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Harold and an infant son.
