Margaret A. "Peggy" Barbee,, 71, of Wichita, Kan., formerly of Oto, passed away July 10, 2011.

A celebration of life service will be 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hillside West, 2929 W. 13th St. N., in Wichita. Condolences may be sent online to www.hillsidefuneralhomewest.com.

Peggy was born to Gus and Maxine Mead on Mar. 16, 1940 in Oto, Iowa.

She is survived by her husband, Bill; sons, K. David (Vicki) McKenna and Mark McKenna; daughters, Julie (Kurt) Gile, Meg (Michael) Georges, and Michelle (Kyle) McAdam; brothers, Larry (Patricia) Mead and Bill (Cheryl) Mead; numerous nieces and nephews; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and one son, Patrick McKenna.
