SIOUX CITY -- Patricia Anne "Pat" Odom, 86, of Arlington, Ore., formerly of Sioux City, passed away on April 7, 2012, with her children by her side at her son's home in Pendleton, Ore.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. today at Arlington United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Burns Mortuary of Hermiston, Ore. Please sign the condolence book at www.burnsmortuaryhermiston.com.

Pat was born on March 30, 1926, in Sioux City, to parents, Elmer M. and Bernice D. (Rader) Martin. She attended Central High School in Sioux City and left for California after her junior year to work as a theater usher and in the U.S. Navy shipyard as a clerk. Pat moved to Arlington when her father was transferred by the railroad to Heppner Junction. There she attended Arlington High School and graduated with the class of 1945.

Pat met Foster Odom and they were married on Nov. 11, 1945, in Salem, Ore. The newlyweds lived on the family farm before moving to Arlington. They had two children, Julia Anne and Foster Ausborne Jr. Pat and her husband, Foster owned Arlington Hardware where she kept the books and enjoyed waiting on customers. She was also the bookkeeper for the family farm. After suffering a stroke in November, she moved to McKay Creek Estates in Pendleton, Ore.

Her hobbies were playing bridge, gardening, golfing, and she loved to feed and watch the birds. Pat was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Alpha Nu Sorority, PTA, and was involved with the community of Arlington.

She is survived by her daughter, Julia A. Logosz, (Frank), Hermiston, Ore.; son, Foster A. Odom, (Lona), Pendleton; stepdaughter, Carol Loss of Oregon City, Ore.; sister, Evelyn Klagge of Sioux City; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; her many wonderful friends and neighbors of Arlington; and new friends at McKay Creek Estates.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Foster Odom; her parents; a brother, Wallace Martin; son-in-law, Joe Loss; and a stepson, Foster Lee Putnam.
