Loraine A. Ege, 77, of Sioux City passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at her residence, following a lengthy illness.

Memorial services will be 7 p.m. Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Tess Panamarow officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Loraine was born Nov. 29, 1934 in Skelleftehamn, Sweden, the daughter of Karl and Maurine (Hansen) Bergmark.

She married Clarence "Bob" Ege on July 10, 1981 in Sioux City. After raising her children, Loraine went to school to receive her LPN license. She worked at Marian Health Center for 30 years, retiring at the age of 71.

Loraine was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She loved to read and enjoyed outdoor activities such as camping, fishing and boating.

Survivors include her husband, Clarence "Bob" Ege; her daughters, Reeny McKleroy of Denver, Colo, Stacie and her husband Rick Kautz of Henderson, Nev., and Lynn McKleroy of Denver; her son, Mark and wife Pam McKleroy of Sioux Falls, S.D.; stepson, Rich Ege of Sioux City; stepdaughter, Carol and husband Leo French of Pelham, Ala.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Stephanie Guy; three stepchildren, Chris Evers, Gary Ege and Vicki Ege; and a brother, Karl "Bud" Bergmark.
